I'm 29 and counting (up, because I can't figure out how to make that damn number go the other way).  My name is Zach, but I've been called other things. I'm originally from Pennsylvania, I lived in Chicago for a time, and now live in Delaware. Hey, look...I'm in...Delaware.

I'm always tall, sometimes my eyes turn gray-ish, and sometimes I have short hair (but right now I do not). My hair is brown, my beard has red in it, and now more and more flecks of white too. I don't know how I feel about that just yet. I have a girlfriend named Kelly who has red hair and is a musician. I've known her for over 12 years now, and she is awesome.

I like books, music,  and movies. I like my books about current events and politics, but will read fiction too as long as it is good. I like my music loud and made by angry people with computers and electronics, but I listen to a bit of almost everything except country. And I like my movies...well, good. I particularly enjoy sci-fi, action, fantasy and things of that nature, but anything that is funny or holds my attention or makes me think is good with me.

Animals are awesome and I love them. I'm a pesco-vegetarian which a lot of true vegetarians/vegans tend to be a bit...disdainful of, but I find myself pretty ok with it. I try anyway. I live with a bearded dragon (Loki), a fish (Edgar Spike) and a slightly insane, but awesome and adorable beagle/foxhound mix (Bella).

I have a love/hate relationship with politics and technology, and after the people and animals that I care about, those are probably the two most important things to me. I'm a liberal and unashamed of it, and lean far left on most issues. As for technology, I enjoy building computers, video games, working in Photoshop, and other random geekiness.

I am contradictory and I wouldn't want to be any other way. I think I may be borderline ADD. I want to do everything and everything and I never know where to begin. So this blog is one more diversion, and a release valve for whatever is on my mind. I hope it interests someone else, too. Maybe you'll have something to say about what I have to say. Maybe we'll start a dialog.
